SciFi Awakes: New Photos, New S4.5 Sneak Peaks an New Games!

SciFi.com (along with SciFi Channel in general) has been off our radar scopes for a long long time. The BSG Pilots Fleet News Service has even stopped visiting the SciFI Channel's Official Website as it was practically frozen or filled with not so interesting content since the end of the first half of Season 4 in June of this year. The last thing SciFi had left us with was the incredibly unsatisfying ultra short, ultra boring teaser for Season 4.5

who's high point was Tigh saying "you're the Fifth" in a scene we obviously only hear and never see.

However, whether because time is running out for marketing and promotion of Season 4.5 (since it will be airing January 16th, about 7 Fridays from now) or because they feel they have to keep up with other sources releasing new content before them and getting all the traffic, SciFi Channel has finally started releasing new content.

For starters, SciFi.com has posted the new Season 4.5 Sneak Peak that was first aired on the Canadian SPACE channel and that made it to YouTube on that same day, last Friday, first in a poor quality form, but soon the YouTube Battlestar Community caught up and there are now over half a dozen uploads of the Sneak Peak. Granted SciFi wins as far as size and quality of the Sneak Peak, so the next best thing to being able to see it on a 42" TV is to watch it on the relatively larger SciFI Video Player. So if you have not done your duty and seen this great Sneak Peak in high quality, do yourself a favor now and head over there and watch it.

SciFi.com has also released some very awesome new neverbefore seen photos of the women of Battlestar as well as some amazing CG Renders of the ships of BSG. This is especially wonderful for us CG folk and it's the equivalent of handing us a box filled with nachos and salsa, beer bottles and three naked women swimming in it all. Ok, not quite, but close Tongue

Last but not least, SciFI.com has launched a new gaming area on their website with some neat little BSG games. Two such games put you in the cockpit of a Raptor and Viper respectively and put you through some flight challenges in a web-based Flash-powered game. So be sure to give the old Raptor a spin! They are actually quite challenging and fun! Wink

Thursday, on Thanksgiving, during the SciFI Channel Bond Marathon there will be a new Battlestar Galactica sneak peak into the final episodes of Season 4. So if you get the SciFi Channel be sure to check it out. If not, worry not, YouTube will take care of the rest of us I am sure

Great info.

I always found SciFi.com to be a trollers paradise when it came to finding any useful info on the forum, and the fact that some of the info was only limited to the isp's in the United States did not help much.

I think that video clip for season 4.5 that found its way onto Youtube, woke the sleeping giant so to speak. I think SciFi felt trumped when their Canadian counterpart aired something before them. (Or maybe it was all part of a plan...lol...). I the past between seasons the BSG site on SciFi.com was quite active with info and updates, recently it was dead so to speak, I found more info on SyFy Portal than Scifi.com

As for some of the pics, some of them have been floating around for a while, but others are quite good and some of them I have not seen. The Cloud Nine is new, as is the one of the Colonial One in Galactica's bay, so are some of Basestar & Galactica.

All in all I hope that SciFi.com & the Scifi Channel have woken up to the fact that they have kept the fans waiting too long for anything useful, lets hope the info keeps coming

I just tried the interesting feature about "You Will Know The Truth." It is located in the flash area at the bottom of the SciFi website. It has some very interesting blurbs there via visual clues, audio clues, etc. I suggest you check it out!

EDIT: You must click on the red dots individualy to see and hear the clues.
