"The Face of The Enemy" Webisode #8 Online Now!


We pick up where #7 left off. Gaeta has discovered the Raptor pilots with their throats slit and finally realizes that "sweet" eight is not so sweet after all. Gaeta begins to put the pieces together and then Eight lays it all out for him. The time they spent on Caprica was just a ruse to get resistance names for extermination. You can see in Gaeta's eyes that he understands he was used in a terrible and genocidal manner. Still though, in Eight's mind, she has feelings for Gaeta as well. That is why he was spared, so there would be enough air for them to survive.

Meanwhile, Hoshi and Racetrack make their umpteenth jump in their search for the missing Raptor. Finally, Hoshi succumbs to the fact that they are looking for a proverbial needle in a haystack and they decide to call it off.

The webisodes were written by BSG alumni writer Jane Espenson. Her credits include "He That Believeth In Me," "The Hub" and "Escape Velocity."

The Face of The Enemy stars Allessandro Juliani as Lt. Gaeta, Michael Hogan as Colonel Tigh, Grace Park as Boomer/Athena, Leah Cairns as Racetrack and Brad Dryborough as Lt. Hoshi.

Sci Fi has two ways to watch. A regular version and an enhanced version with commentary from Jane Espenson. Both can be found by clicking here!

Wow what a webisode...this iinterestingly enough casts some light on the possibility of Gaeta as the FC. He's gonna be looking for a whole lot of redemption now...

These webisodes are picking up speed now and I can't wait to see where it goes...

woot only two more days and I can sit down watch 1-10 in one sitting. Wink

FYI if anyone has Comcast digital cable you can watch the webisodes on your TV with Comcast OnDemand. So far they only have webisode 1-4 up so far.

That was the best episode so far IMO. That was true BSG drama, ethics, morality and philosophy in action. What a thought and emotional ride.

What would you do if you were in a Raptor that has only enough air for 2 people to Jump back to Galactica instead of 5 people? Would you muder to save yourself? Would you even think it? Would you hope and pray for a solution and still hang by your ethics and morality even if it meant your death?

That's the questions that BSG made us ask in this Webisode...few others shows do so to such a degree IMO.

I cant wait for the next 2, but that was the most satisfying Ep yet.

I also agree that this gives more ammo to the Gaeta being the FC theory. It does give a lot of pressure on him with regrets of the past, guilt etc. As for the decision of killing the rest of the crew, that is a hard one. IMO if that was the only choice I would surly think of putting it in a lottery of who gets to live like in the mini series. Basically that is what Helo and Boomer did getting off Caprica. The only difference is they did not pull the trigger on the people who could not go with them.

OH thanks angelus, you had to go and mention ep 10 didn't you? I couldent resist the temptaion and I watched it too. It was kick ass but I wish I could have seen 9 first.
