Knight, if you read this, I'm sorry I was late getting into the chat.  I completely forgot today was Friday (week's been kinda chaotic).

Hi folks, sorry for my absence lately. I had a virus on my PC that I was just able to fix. I'm back now.

Bear's Beats

Bear McCreary fans have heart. Bear announced Thursday on his blog that he has begun scoring Caprica, the BSG spinoff, and is signed on to Score all 20 episodes of the first season.

Bear goes on to tell us that the score will be very different, but will retain the soul of his work on BSG. He also says that "Chris Bleth, MB Gordy, Paul Cartwright and the other unique musicians who play on Galactica are on board as well."

In another blog entry Bear has called on fans for advice about what to put on the season 4 soundtrack. Be sure to get your requests in and be part of the process of making a soundtrack. If you read some of Bear's responses in the comments section he says we fans might be able to convince him to release a double album for season 4.

Finally It looks like Bear attended the Premiere of Sometimes a Great Notion in LA. In the video above (graciously provided by GalacticaSitrep's ProgGrrl) Bear is giving a live performance of All Along the Watchtower. Bear is on the accordion and his brother Brendan is providing vocals as usual.

Also be sure to check out Bear's detailed blog for the latest BSG episode Sometimes a Great Notion. He gives us some insights from Writers Bradley Thompson and David Weddle as well as director Michael Nankin. He share's some very interesting tidbits about working with Kandyse McClure to add her vocals to Dualla's theme during the morgue scene.

Thanks for the info Tigh,  It sure woind have been cool in person.  As for the soundtrack, I would be willing to buy a double cd.  I wounder if he's holding back stuff for a later release like a anthology or box set.  Thanks also to you folks for birddogging all this cool news and saving us time.  It's a busy world out there and I appreciate your effort.
