Knight - I will try to make either the 9pm or 11pm broadcast of "Caprica" tonight.  My group is holding a wrap party for our gropu tonight.  I'm thinking about going but not sure.  If I do, then I may be in at 11.  If not, then I may be just in at the regular time.

I just saw this on Galactica Sitrep and thought it was worth sharing.

The pilot for Caprica is coming to DVD on April 21, 2009.  That is a whole year before it will be shown on TV in 2010.

The full press release can be seen at http://galacticasitrep.blogspot.com/2009/02/caprica-pilot-coming-to-dvd-april-2009.html

Yeah I saw that. I plan writing a news story about it.

But holy frak!!! How cool is this news? Definitely takes some of the sting of BSG ending away.

I guess I know what I am buying on April 21st.

Wonder what the reasoning behind releasing it on DVD instead of airing on TV is, you'd think they might get a larger audience by releasing it on TV first before releasing it on DVD.

 Cool

I suspect it's a marketing ploy to get word of mouth going about  the series while BSG is still fresh in everyone's minds. They've had the pilot in the can for sometime just sitting in the vault while they wait to begin production on the rest of the show. Might as well make some money on the pilot and get the BSG fan base hooked while BSG still has some thunder.
