Hi folks, sorry for my absence lately. I had a virus on my PC that I was just able to fix. I'm back now.

hehe, wonder how many here remember me? Well, good to see this place is still going strong! Even though i rarely post anymore I do still stop by from time to time to make sure Adalla hasn't got bored with this one and moved on to another project!

For those that don't know me, I used to play X-Wing vs Tie Fighter a LOOONG time ago with Adalla as members of a club called TRA. The club didn't see any merit in supporting a mod due to be released called Beyond the Red Line, (probably a wise decision...) and so Adalla and I created one, BSG9, or the ninth Battlestar group.

BSG9 grew quickly on the back of the anticipation BtRL brought to so many pc BSG fans, and Adalla and I were thrilled at the growth of our new club and the game. Remember, it was still only a recent release and had many players at this stage.

While talking about the club, TRA and some other bits, we decided that it would be a really good idea to find some neutral ground for BtRL pilots. After all, arranging games by asking people to use our clubs chatroom might seem a bit..well..one sided. We didnt want to use the BtRL site and so we came up with BSGP, well, Adalla created it all! I just helped with a few ideas and kept him focused on it!

BSGP was quite a hit, quickly helping pull a few pilots together in order to create matches regularly, and even held an official kind of BSGP hosted match once a week. This in turn led to greater use of the forums and discussion of the show.

As fans of BtRL grew frustrated at the endless circling dogfights, lack of updates and slow release of news they began to falter. Many looked for other mods or simply moved away resulting in BSG9 winding down to a state of slumber, as did many other clans. BSGP however went from strength to strength.

It was one of the few places you could still meet people to arrange a game of BtRL, but more importantly had begun to take on a life of it's own. The site was moving in a new direction as each new series of the show aired, with episode reviews, links to previews etc. It now moved from its roots as a matchmaking service to the fansite we know today.

Erm..so thats the history of BSGP (how did I end up writing that??!) and how Adalla and I met and put things in motion!

Since then, I've moved on and on, so back to ME! I now play a game called First Strike, a star wars mod for BF2142. In fact, I'm actually the testing team leader over there now! I've also recently started making my own space maps for the mod which is proving real good fun!

I also took over as Fleet Admiral of TRA (the XvT club) a few months ago but only have a week left there. After that I'm stepping down and retiring from there. The club is barely pulsing now, too much support has been given to long dead games and the membership refused to move on. Although it now supports First Strike they need another game. I've reccomended they take up HAWX, but the members complain they'd have to buy it..I dunno, a new game that would mean new members but they says no! Ah well..

In RL I'm an aircraft engineer (airframes and engines) for the RAF, hence my reason for retiring from Leading a clan, as I am due to go away somewhere hot and dusty soon!

So thats me, my link to this place and what I'm up to right now! How are you guys?!

TWIGS!

Great to see you around m8. And thanx for the background and intro for those new to BSGP and who dont know you.

Indeed, I havnt gotten bored of this project quite yet Wink This one is a keeper m8, and mostly thanx to dedicated staff members such as Captain Angelus, Captain TighFighter, Lieutenant Knighthawkdc and especially Colonel A-Dog.

The reason I moved on with my other projects it was mostly because I did not have good support. It was all me.

Here at BSG Pilots it is a team who keeps it going, including our NCOs non-Staff members who contribute greatly also.

I cant believe it, but if I think about it, we are less than 3 months away from BSGP's 2 Year Anniversary!

That's a long arse time!

And I'm gonna do my best to make sure this one is a keeper Smiley

I layed out the cabin today. It's gonna have an easternly view. You should see the light we get here when the sun comes up from behind those mountains. It's almost heavenly. Reminds me of you. - Admiral William Adama

Well BSG9 would have been great if we'd had more games to utilise, but BtRL put a real lid on things.

Yes, this place has a very dedicated staff team, something thats never happened with the XvT stuff, guess the games are just too old to keep a valid audience.

2 years? Really? lol..wow...yeah I guess it is now that I think about it! Thats not only a long time for YOU Adalla, its also amazing how much the site has grown in that space of time. I mean for at least 6 months it was really just a chat room and a couple forums!

Caprica will definitely see this place continue though I'm not watching any previews or anything on it yet, I want to keep my knowledge of it to zero so that everything comes as a surprise. That said, what I do know of it has me a little nervous as I'm no sure how much spacey battling we'll get to see :/

Keeping my eyes on Diaspora, will be looking forward to trying that! Oh and Addy, you been keeping tabs on the other mods? First Strike and Fate of the Galaxy in particular Wink You really need to check FS these days mate, next week will see a very special update that I think will be right up your street.

Hey Twigsy! Great to see you back here man. We're still kickin it BSG style! It's a little slow due to no new BSG, however, we continue to support new fan fic projects, remaining DVD and TV releases and such. Caprica Season 1 will definitely recharge this place but in the meantime there are several of us here that continue to meet and breathe life into the fleet.

So how's that baby girl of yours? Gotta fill us in dude...welcome back!
