BSGPilots has come a long way since the days when we were just a chat room for BSG gamers to meetup before a game.

We are now one of the premiere BSG fansites on the web offering unique features, content and a friendly community for people brought together by their love for Battlestar Galactica.

We are doing awesome, but we could be doing a lot more awesome. The few Staff members that serve this community are exceptional and do a great job, but there is so much the few of us can do.

We want to do a lot more, we have many things on our list, but we need YOU to help us by joining us as part of the Staff today!


What we need most right now are Gamers who will help us re-launch our Gaming Department and the Gaming Section of our Fleet News Service.

So if you are a fan of the Diaspora and Fleet Commander games (and BSG gaming in general), are a mature person with a will to serve the BSG community and can work as part of a Team, then contact myself through the PM system on this website telling me about yourself and what you can bring to our Staff. Our Gaming Staff mainly keeps our members informed regarding the various BSG games and mods and organizes gaming events (or will organize them when Diaspora is released).

We are also looking for people to join our Fleet News Service as Gaming Specialists and report news about BSG gaming on a regular basis.


We could also use some PHP programmers to help us build a stats tracking, event-hosting system.

There are other positions we could use help in, such as webdesign, content management, and feature development.

It doesnt matter if you fit the above requirements.

If you think you can contribute to BSG Pilots in some way or another, just drop me a Private Message through the forum and tell me about yourself, we might just find a position.

The only three strict requirements to join the Staff are maturity, a love for whatever you will be doing as a Staff Member, and a strong desire to serve others.

Oooh oooh pick me...pick me!

Sorry, had to do it...folks. If I might add some personal reflection here? You don't necessarily need to be a professional reporter or gamer, etc. to do this stuff. Like the Admiral said, maturity and a genuine passion for what you're doing is all anyone can ask for. Having certain skills helps, but as I have proven...you can take even rudimentary skills and hone them over time to be a polished gem. Don't get me wrong. It can be hard and challenging work, but the payoff is well worth it. You will be serving a community of true fans and gamers and you will be proudly recognized for your efforts immediately through thread feedback AND over time through promotions. I can honestly say that joining the staff here was one of the top things I've ever done in my entire 40 yrs here on Earth.

Trust yourselves...take a chance....pull the trigger and at least open a dialogue with Adalla about the possibilities...
