Knight, if you read this, I'm sorry I was late getting into the chat.  I completely forgot today was Friday (week's been kinda chaotic).

Hi folks, sorry for my absence lately. I had a virus on my PC that I was just able to fix. I'm back now.

Caprica Premiere and Chat Event

Well folks. It seems that we've reached a new destination for our Friday nights and it's time to rouse everyone from cryosleep!

Caprica the series will finally debut this Friday, January 22nd at 9pm on SYFY in the US, Sky 1 in England and Ireland and Space in Canada. In store this first night will be a "re-booted" and extended version of the pilot. Several key scenes were re-shot and some additional CGI and scenes deleted from the DVD pilot were woven in as well. While this seems just as risky and odd as SyFy releasing the pilot almost 1 year earlier then the series premiere, this amped up version of the pilot should be pretty awesome indeed. As always, we at BSGP would request that all members support the BSG team by watching this pilot and series. In this we may secure the possibilty of a long run and perhaps follow up movies to Battlestar Galactica as well!

As is customary, we will have a live chat in the Launch Tube during, and for however long after the pilot on Friday evening. As was pointed out to me, and I apologize for failing to mention it, we will also run the chat on Saturday evening starting at 9pm as well. Wink

Many of us were initially impressed with the pilot as it was released to DVD last April. The re-booted version sounds even better. Truly, it is time to fully resurrect the fleet! So spread the word! We are requesting any and all members of BSG Pilots to join in on a momentous and historical evening...the return of the BSG Universe! We'll look forward to seeing you in the Launch Tube!

SO SAY WE ALL!!!

I am super duper excited that BSG is BACK.

I absolutely loved the Caprica Pilot, that last scene with the first Cylon gave me chills. I have not been watching any TV whatsoever since BSG ended. I had intended to catch up on Heroes and give Lost a try, but where others have failed to attract my attention, finally I will have something worth watching on TV, something that will once again not only entertain me, but also stimulate me intellectually!

Long Live Caprica!

As much as I would like to be in the chat and watch for "Caprica"'s premiere (as I've missed the rewatches on DVD), I may be going to be heading up north on Friday to see my parents and they have plans on getting dinner out at Valdosta.  I'm heading up north in relation to financial related issues (nothing bad, I've just got to file a tax return).  In short, I may not be there.

Good news CB is that Caprica is a series now...so we should hopefully expect to get a new episode every Friday Smiley So see you the Friday after that for sure then. We also will be doing a live-rewatch on Saturdays.

I will be watching both nights, Friday night when it airs on Space and Saturday after it has been downloaded to the torrents.

Kendrick, what I have done is to hook up another monitor to my computer, if there is anyway that you can do that, then you can watch on one screen and chat on another, or find a way to hook your computer up to a tv or get the show onto a dvd or recorded on a dvr then you can chat and watch at the same time

I have to say, with no disrespect intended, that I am disheartened by the lack of participation of our members during the Caprica debut and subsequent chat. It's as if the bulk of our members have become the long lost 13th tribe of Kobol....are you out there?  Huh

Hey guys.

Apparently Caprica is not hitting the UK until some time in Feb according to the Sky1 website, no actual date released yet.

So looks like, as usual us uk peeps will not be able to join in the fun chats or much of the site as we will be about a month behind the US.. again.

BSG9_Hunter8 you can still participate on Saturday nights.  Just wait a few hours after the episode has aired in North America on Friday night  then go to the torrent sites and download the episode.  When we watch the episode on Saturday nights it will either be a recorded version or a downloaded version.

Hunter! Good to see you! I totally understand yer plight. If I'm correct, you're 6 hours ahead of us? So you'd have to join the chat at about 3am...that would suck for sure. I hope we can work something out. It would be cool having you and Twigs and Skull in the chat...we'll have to try something else...either way, it's great to see you back here again!  *S*

Never really left just been not too vocal.

It would be nice to join up for the chats but it does seem to be proving a little bit more difficult.

May be worth thinking about an EU discussion time once it hits screens over here then the US/Canada people can use it as a rewatch then you get the mix of people seeing it for the first time and those seeing it for the nth time.

Any more word in Diaspora??

I apologize. I just couldnt make it this weekend.

And I am confused. Was the ep aired on Friday an extended version of the Pilot that came out on DVD? I'm looking to download the ep but it seems it is the same as the DVD Pilot extended version.
